Custom River Fishing, Sturgeon
Fishing Adventure
Sturgeon fishing in British Columbia takes place on
the Fraser and Harrison Rivers, sixty minutes east of
Vancouver.
The Fraser and
Harrison
Rivers are home to North America's largest fresh water fish: the
white sturgeon. Sturgeon are
among the most popular sport fish in the Fraser River system. Thanks
to the tough catch and release regulations enforced in 1995,
sturgeon fishing has become one of the most successful fisheries in
North America. The mighty White Sturgeon is known for its extreme fighting abilities.
Imagine hooking into a 350 pound fish and
seeing it jump
clear out of the water, 30 feet behind the boat. It's quite a sight
and one you will never forget. The White Sturgeon can get over 1000
pounds and over 10 feet in length. Typical fish are in the 4 foot range
but hooking and landing an 8 foot fish is not uncommon. Peaks are
from February to November. To view some of our white sturgeon
